The SHIMANO SLX BR-M7100 disc brake for cross-country, marathon, and touring applications delivers high performance in all situations. When developing these powerful 2-piston brakes, SHIMANO engineers didn't limit themselves to cosmetic design changes; they also adapted the entire brake lever assembly to the design and technology of the XTR and Deore XT. The solid, compact brake lever assembly stands out, and the beveled I-Spec EV clamp has been moved further inward, positioning the reservoir end directly at the handlebar. The additional support in the direction of lever pull increases stiffness and stability during heavy braking, providing greater brake feel and control on the trail.
