The anti-slip function of the SANDBLOCK® has much better performance than the standard anti-slip material made of sandpaper
An anti-slip durability test shows that with a load of 30 kg and at 10,000 cycles, the material wears off only 0.25 mm When using standard sandpaper, this already shows signs of wear after 20 cycles. SANDBLOCK® does not do this.
Standard sandpaper is easily separated from the pedal's polypropylene cage. This isn't the case with SANDBLOCK®. By using SANDBLOCK® material instead of TPR or standard sandpaper, these UNION pedals offer an even higher level of safety for cyclists in all weather conditions.
