Counts chain links in seconds
When a worn chain is replaced with a
new, the number of links must be determined.
Because a worn bicycle chain extends and
the usual juxtaposition of the new and
old chain leads to an inaccurate result
and thus a different number of chain links.
And this is how it works:
1. Place the chain link counter on the chain,
reset the counter to zero
2. Mark any chain link
with a visible point
3. From the marking 1x through the chain link-
keep the counter running
4. Read the number of chain links
5. Use the chain link counter to count the links of the
count down new chain on the reel and on the
remove correct length (compared to the
worn chain the new chain is shorter)
