The Reelight SL120+ ReePower® Flash is a classic hub-mounted light. A reliable, durable, and maintenance-free light, designed for bikes with V-brakes or cantilever brakes, perfect for everyday city use.
Induction-powered:
The SL120+ ReePower® Flash is powered by magnets attached to the wheel spokes. The lights generate their own renewable energy by induction as the magnets pass by the light Æ no batteries, no charging, no worries.
Once installed on the hub, the SL120+ ReePower® Flash automatically lights up as soon as you start riding, ensuring you are always visible and safe in traffic, day and night.
Installation is quick and simple, and the lights are compatible with bikes equipped with V-brakes or cantilever brakes. (For bikes with disc or roller brakes, see our SL200 series models)
ReePower® Flash mode:
As the wheels spin, the magnets attached to the spokes generate energy through induction. This energy is stored in a capacitor, allowing the light to maintain a consistent flash. The capacitor is also designed to reserve energy so that the lights continue to flash for up to two minutes after a complete stop Æ thus providing visibility at intersections. We call this the reserve mode.
Note: The capacitor must be charged before the reserve mode activates. This happens automatically during your first ride and usually takes 2 to 5 minutes. During this initial charging phase, the light may appear dimmer, as some of the energy is used to charge the capacitor.
Once fully charged, the light shines at full intensity. (See our other SL100 series models for additional lighting modes)
V3 upgrade:
This is the latest version (V3), released at the end of 2024, with a brand-new design that significantly improves durability and performance. Stronger magnets, improvements in circuit efficiency, as well as improved impact resistance and anti-corrosion sealing ensure that the V3 SL120 ReePower® Flash model shines brighter and lasts even longer than before!
