The CYCLUS TOOLS chain wear gauge helps you easily determine when your chain needs replacing. Suitable for all ½" bicycle chains, including SRAM FlatTop. By replacing your chain in time, you prevent unnecessary wear on chainrings, cassettes, and jockey wheels. The gauge uses two fixed measuring points and a third spring-loaded point, automatically applying the correct tension. This ensures accurate and objective measurements, regardless of how hard you push. The scale immediately displays the degree of wear; the "Stop" mark appears at 1% stretch. Chain manufacturer's replacement recommendations:
  • 0.5% wear: 11-13 gears
  • 0.75% wear: 9-10 gears
  • 1% wear: other chains Features:
