Description
To keep your brakes in good condition, you
must regularly check the brake fluid in your
hydraulic brakes and replace it if necessary.
With the IceToolz brake fluid tester, you can
easily check the water content of the brake
fluid. Although mineral oil attracts less
moisture than DOT, water accumulates in the
brake line over time due to its hygroscopic
properties. This not only leads to corrosion.
Even worse: The brake fluid in the caliper
can boil due to the high friction temperature
when the brake is heavily used. This creates
air bubbles that cannot be sufficiently
compressed. Braking efficiency is reduced or
even absent...
Details:

(wet boiling point)
Å Green = OK: no water in the brake fluid
Å Yellow = OK: < 1% / < 2%, contains little
water
Å Red = not OK: < 3% / > 4%, contains too
much water, replacement recommended
Å Visual display of charge level
Å With mounting clip Technical specifications:
Å Power supply: 1 x micro-battery LR03/AAA
(not included)
Å Material: plastic, metal

Å 1 x IceToolz 54T1 brake fluid tester
Attention: In addition to bleeding when
necessary, the brake fluid in the hydraulic
brake system must be replaced at least every
2 to 3 years for safety reasons. See
manufacturer's information. Discoloration of
the mineral oil or water content can give an
indication. Important! When replacing, use
only brake fluids recommended and approved by
the brake manufacturer.
