GPS bike computer for recreational cyclists. The R4 is a GPS bike computer with a large display, is user-friendly, and offers 17 functions. All important basic data such as speed and ride distance are measured via GPS, eliminating the need for sensors and cables. This computer also features convenient Track navigation and Search & Go navigation with turn-by-turn directions. A highlighted blue square in the upper right corner of the display offers a new way to view training data or turn-by-turn directions. Once your workout is complete, you can quickly and easily (automatically) upload the data to Strava and komoot. With the compatible Sigma-VDO Ride App, you can also customize your training displays or display Smart Notifications. It can also be paired with compatible e-bikes. The VDO R4 GPS comes with an over-clamp mount that centrally positions the GPS computer on the handlebars, just above the stem. This mount fits handlebars with a diameter of 31.8 to 35.0 mm. The VDO R4 GPS is easily paired with the Sigma-VDO Ride App. Now you can synchronize routes from Sigma Data Center, our proprietary route creation software, or import GPX route files from external portals. New is the smart "Search & Go" feature in the Ride app: select a destination using an address or a point on the map, and the Ride app will create a route suggestion based on your preferred routing options (streets, bike paths, paved paths, or hiking trails) with corresponding turn-by-turn directions. These then appear on your display while your phone is safely tucked away in the back pocket of your cycling jersey. Smart Notifications: Smart Notifications keep you connected to the outside world. Incoming calls, text messages, or WhatsApp messages are displayed on the bike computer's display. Clear data analysis in the Sigma-VDO Ride App: The Sigma-VDO Ride App is the free app that allows you to quickly and easily read your training data from the GPS computer on your smartphone. All training activities, routes, and statistics are clearly displayed. Your activities and achievements are quickly (automatically if desired) shared on your favorite portals like Strava, TrainingPeaks, and komoot. E-bike ready: The R4 GPS is also e-bike ready and easily connects to various e-bike systems, displaying the current support level, battery status, light levels, and other data.
