Description
The Super Logger The BC 23.16 is the most sporty model in the TOPLINE 2016 series. In addition to all major cycling, altitude and heart rate functions, it also shows cadence. All transmitters are included in the scope of delivery. The absolute highlight is the enormous log capacity of up to 500 hours. From the stored logged values, a record can be chosen via the DATA CENTER, which is used as a virtual opponent for a virtual race. Via NFC technology, the BC 23.16 can communicate with the Android smartphone if the free SIGMA LINK app is installed. The sporty, in addition to all important cycling, altitude and heart rate functions, your BC 23.16 STS also shows the cadence. Enormous log capacity You can store a maximum of 99 log files on your BC 23.16. This results in a total log of up to 500 hours with a log interval of 20 seconds. Numerous functions, easy operation The BC 23.16 STS not only scores points with its many functions, but also with its easy operation. Whether it concerns Bike functions, Alti functions, altitude functions or laps, there is a dedicated button for each part, providing a quick overview. Extensive data logging including all transmitters The BC 23.16 STS displays all important cycling, altitude and heart rate functions. An altitude profile and a heart rate graph are also created. For altitude, data such as current altitude, current ascent/descent, total altitude and the altimeter uphill/downhill for the current ride can be read out. In addition, the current cadence, average and maximum cadence are shown. All required transmitters are included. 50 laps The BC 23.16 STS can store 50 laps per ride. For super-fast operation there is an extra lap button. Detailed information about each lap is displayed and can be analyzed in the lap view. You can scroll through the values of each lap, or choose a value and compare the laps with each other. Ghost Race From the stored logged values, a record can be chosen via the DATA CENTER, which is used as a virtual opponent for a virtual race. On the display, the rider sees the time and distance to the Ghost and who is in the lead. NFC & SIGMA LINK The BC 14.16, BC 16.16 and BC 23.16 models can communicate directly with an Android smartphone via NFC (Near Field Communication). For this, the free SIGMA LINK app must be installed. For wireless data exchange, simply hold the smartphone near the computer. In the app, settings can be changed and trip data can be read out, for example. From the smartphone, the data can be uploaded to the DATA CENTER via the SIGMA CLOUD. Conversely, transfer from the DATA CENTER via the CLOUD to the smartphone is also possible. The free SIGMA LINK app is available in the App Store and Google Play Store. NFC technology is only available for Android smartphones. Power in Watts The BC 23.16 STS calculates your current and average power in Watts for you. This allows you to compare your performance at all times. Temperature display The BC 14.16/STS/CAD to BC 23.16 STS models have a temperature display. This keeps you informed at all times about the current temperature in your environment. Compare speeds Current speed and average speed compared. During the ride, a continuous comparison takes place between your current and your average speed. This is indicated by an arrow pointing up or down. When the average speed is almost reached, the indication disappears. Wheel sizes adjustable If you use two bikes, you can set two wheel sizes which are automatically recognized (only with STS). For this, only the speed transmitter needs to be switched to the second bike and the correct wheel size for 'Bike 2' set on the BC 23.16 STS. Integrated memory chip Thanks to an integrated memory chip in the computer head, all total values and settings are continuously stored in the device. This means that after changing the battery, you only need to reset the clock time. Information about the energy status All devices from the BC 14.16 have a battery level indicator. The charge status of the battery of the computer head or the STS transmitter is checked at regular intervals. When the battery is almost empty, you will receive a timely warning on the display of the computer head. Warning function for bike maintenance Thanks to the service interval, you will be warned after a freely selectable number of kilometers that it is time for a check-up of your bike. The service interval can only be switched on/off or pre-programmed by your supplier. The supplier can set the desired number of kilometers with the UNIVERSAL FAST SETTING BOX. In delivery condition, the service interval is switched off. Much display, little housing The design of the TOPLINE 2016 is vertically oriented and, with its slim design, fits optimally on the handlebar. With the new shape, the functions can be displayed better. For example, the speed on the BC 23.16 STS is large and easy to read and permanently visible in the three-line display. Housing Height x Width x Depth: 66.5 mm x 44 mm x 12.5 mm Display Height x Width 30 mm x 45 mm The functions of the buttons: Menu Top: Long press: opens settings Short press: back through the Bike/ Alti/ Heart rate/ Lap menu Alti Bottom left: forward through the altitude functions Heart rate Bottom middle: forward through the heart rate functions Bike Bottom right: forward through the bike functions Lap Below screen: Short press: starts a new lap Long press: opens Lap menu Animated menu guidance Small graphics facilitate orientation in the menu of the BC 23.16 STS. These indicate training graphs for altitude profile and setting mode. A scrollbar indicates your current position. Digitally encoded wireless 3-channel transmission The proven and reliable SIGMA TRANSMISSION SYSTEM (STS) is the digitally encoded transmission system for all transmitter data from speed transmitters, cadence transmitters and also pulse transmitters for high-quality basic equipment and top models. The transmitters collect their sensor data and transmit it as a digital data packet to the receiver integrated in the computer. In addition, the transmitter regularly sends stored test data as a data comparison. The digital encoding of the SIGMA TRANSMISSION SYSTEM excludes distortion of the transmitted data by other sources of interference, such as power sources or other transmitters. Interference with SIGMA products, such as LED lighting, can be excluded. New STS transmitter The STS transmitter has a movable mounting base, which allows optimal mounting of the transmitter in any situation. Transmitter and magnet can therefore always be mounted in parallel. This results in an even more stable wireless data transmission. Backlight Light on, very simple. Activate light mode and with another press of a button the display is illuminated. Waterproof according to IPX8 The BC 23.16 STS is waterproof according to the international standard IPX 8. This means "protection against prolonged immersion". The next ride in the rain is therefore not a problem. Click magnets The two new magnets (Normal & Power) are equipped with a click mechanism. This makes mounting even easier. Disassembly also takes place without tools. Cadence magnet The new cadence magnet can be attached directly to the inside of the pedal without further aids. Because it is very thin, the danger of friction with the transmitter is avoided even at small distances. To function even at larger distances to the sensor or with non-magnetic pedal axles, two extra plastic clip holders for the magnet are included.
