How to use CyclOn Pro Chain Hot Wax Step 01 - Degrease Chain Thoroughly degrease the chain with CyclOn Pro Chain Stripper. Make sure all oil and grease residues are completely removed and dry the chain thoroughly. Want to know exactly how to do this? Read our blog about degreasing the chain with the CyclOn Chain Stripper. Step 02 - Apply Wax Heat the wax to 75-85°C in a wax heater, saucepan, or by placing the bag in boiling water. Wait until the wax is completely melted and fully submerge the chain. Let the wax soak into the chain for 15 minutes, then remove the chain. Hang the chain to allow the wax to fully harden. Step 03 - Install Chain and Ride Install the chain on the bike and you're ready to ride! After about 10 minutes of cycling, the chain will be fully run in, and you can enjoy a super quiet and clean drivetrain. Does the chain start to sound dry?
